MicroStrategy has announced the acquisition of an additional 51,780 BTC, cementing its status as one of the largest Bitcoin holders globally.
This purchase, made for $4.6 billion at an average price of $88,627 per BTC, increases the company’s total Bitcoin holdings to 331,200 BTC. The overall investment to date amounts to $16.5 billion, with an average acquisition cost of $49,875 per Bitcoin.

This latest purchase follows just a week after the company added 27,200 BTC to its portfolio for $2 billion, highlighting its aggressive acquisition strategy. MicroStrategy also reported achieving a quarter-to-date BTC yield of 20.4% and a year-to-date yield of 41.8%, showcasing significant returns on its investment.
The company now holds approximately 1.2% of the total Bitcoin supply, ranking as the fifth-largest Bitcoin holder after entities like Satoshi Nakamoto, Binance, BlackRock, and Grayscale. In addition to this substantial purchase, MicroStrategy revealed its ambitious plan to raise $42 billion over the next three years to acquire even more Bitcoin, signaling its continued commitment to expanding its holdings in the cryptocurrency market.
